We wanted our Pekinese to at least smell better before we left for conference/vacation. Poor baby still didn't think she had an odor problem, but we were afraid her babysitters might. So, my husband volunteered to take her--LOL! Lordy, he should know better by now. But I have to go out of town so he was pretty much stuck anyway.
First, you can't let her see the leash. Leash=either the vet or something just as distasteful. He hides it beside the sofa and lays out heavy duty work gloves on the front porch before he goes to work. When he comes in at lunch, she mobs him. Our 12 pound bundle of joy--until she realizes she has a leash on.
We have a new groomer in town who knows where Karl (hubby) works. She calls him up and he goes down to help.
Sukie is not happy one bit---speaking of bit, she did. Apparently she does not believe in the old adage, do not bite the hand that feeds you.
She was much happier when she came home. Except I think the groomer shaved her bottom a little too close. We went outside yesterday and Sukie immediately plopped her little bohiney on the sidewalk. Did I mention our temperature is in the triple digits. She was really ticked off the rest of the day.
But, at least she smells better and the string of babysitters will not be offended.
